75 YEARS OF UDHR AND THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

The commemoration of Human Rights Day holds a broader objective, seeking to advocate for and ensure the universal realization of fundamental human rights for all individuals worldwide.

This annual observance serves as a poignant reminder of the shared commitment to upholding the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). However, this year's International Human Rights Day is particularly extraordinary as it signifies the 75th anniversary of the UDHR, a historic document that has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of human rights globally.

Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All

Each year, Human Rights Day highlights a unique theme to underscore the importance of advocating for and upholding human rights. For Human Rights Day 2023, the central theme is "Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All”. This theme underscores the fundamental principles that every individual is entitled to be treated with dignity, to experience freedom in all aspects of life, and to live in a Just and Equitable Society . It serves as a poignant reminder of our ongoing commitment to protect human rights and strive for a world where these principles are universally respected and upheld for the benefit of all
